Orange Creamsicle Cookies

As a gift for Easter, my mother gave me orange extract she had made. I knew I wanted to do something fun with it so, of course, I hit up Pinterest. I found multiple recipes for Orange Creamsicle cookies. Who remembers how good orange creamsicles were!? So, after reading through them all, I figured I’d give them my own try. Turns out they’re pretty amazing. According to my boyfriend they’re, “the best cookies he’s ever eaten”. So here I am sharing the recipe with you all.

Ingredients:

2 1/2 cups all purpose flour – sift before measuring

3/4 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup softened butter

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup sugar

1 egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon orange extract

2 tablespoons orange zest

2 cups white chocolate chips

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 375. Line your baking sheet with parchment paper. Use two if you can, or else bake two rounds. In a large bowl, beat together the butter, brown sugar and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg, vanilla, orange extract and orange zest. Mix until combined well. Add the flour, baking soda and salt and mix well. Fold in the chocolate chips. Use a spoon to drop rounded scoops of dough onto your pan. Bake 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned on the bottom.

Thats it! Enjoy!
